About Christine Mielenz Howell, Ph.D.

I’m passionate about partnering with kids, teens, and adults to navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and evidence-based care. My background and experience include:

• M.Ed. in School Psychology and Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Washington

• Experience in research and treatment of learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral challenges, autism spectrum disorders, and school-based interventions

• Completed internships and residency in Seattle-area schools and clinics

• Established and operated a private practice in Seattle for 12 years

• Supervised pre- and post-doctoral students

• Served on educational and professional boards

• Licensed Psychologist in Colorado (PSY.0006578) and Washington (PY60242543)

• Relocated to Boulder and opened Compass Psychological Services, LLC in 2025

• Proud parent of two sons and avid outdoor enthusiast
