Practice Policies
Privacy and Informed Consent: Your privacy is very important. My client portal, contact form, and scheduling platform are HIPAA-compliant to help protect your information. Communications through other channels, such as standard email, are not fully secure, and confidentiality has limits as required by law. Before beginning services, we will review informed consent, including confidentiality, telehealth considerations, risks and benefits of therapy, and record-keeping practices.
Missed Sessions, Cancellations, and Rescheduling: Clients who cancel, reschedule, or miss an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee. Missed sessions are often not eligible for insurance reimbursement. This policy helps me hold dedicated time for your care and maintain consistent availability for all clients.
Emergency Services: I am not available for emergencies or crisis situations. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or visit your nearest hospital emergency room. For urgent mental health support, you can reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline or contact your local crisis services. Your safety is important—please seek help right away if needed.
